A smooth installation depends on your prep work. Here is a homeowner’s checklist to follow the week before the crew arrives.

Interior Prep

  • Move furniture at least 90 cm away from each window
  • Remove blinds, curtains, and curtain rods
  • Take down wall art near the openings
  • Cover floors with drop cloths or old sheets (crews bring their own but extra helps)
  • Empty windowsills of plants and decor

Exterior Prep

  • Trim shrubs and plants 60 cm back from the wall
  • Move outdoor furniture and grills
  • Clear parking space close to the work area
  • Coil up garden hoses to prevent damage
  • Disconnect alarm sensors on windows if you have them

Day of Installation

Expect dust, noise, and brief moments without heating or cooling (each opening is exposed for 30–60 minutes during install). Plan to stay in a different room or leave for the day if pets are skittish.

First 48 Hours After

Caulk needs 24–48 hours to fully cure. Avoid opening newly installed operable windows for a full day to let everything settle. Confirm warranty paperwork is registered. For complete details see our installation process guide.
